I’m running for State Auditor because we need to restore YOUR trust in all our governments and to help our agencies become the best managed, most efficient and effective organizations in the country. It is time to end the waste in government. We need to elect a performance management expert and champion who has the vision, record and skills to get this done right.
I am the only candidate with “hands-on” performance management experience with a proven 25 year record of auditing organizations to include Boeing, small businesses, hospitals, universities, colleges, and government agencies. I have managed medium and small agencies and have extensive performance management experience and training.
As a legislator, I have a 13 year legislative record of championing and passing bills on audits and performance that would help make our state more trustworthy and accountable to its citizens. I passed Washington’s first State Auditor Performance Audit Program and Quality management program.
As State Auditor, I will work to help our agencies be the best and end the continual stream of gov’t waste and mismanagement “horror” stories that make the front page of our newspapers.
